The Municipality of Lambton Shores is committed to Accessibility in our communities.
Accessibility is an important part of everything the municipality does and our website is no exception. We're doing as much as we can to make sure that everyone can access the information they need.
By January 1, 2014 all website content must be in compliance with the AODA standard WCAG 2.0 Level A other than criteria 1.2.4 (captions) and 1.2.5 (pre-recorded audio description) - the Municipality of Lambton Shores will be WCAG Level AA which is the 2021 requirement.
Documents (PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint) dated January 1, 2014 or later will be posted to the website as AODA compliant which will meet the AODA requirement that we be compliant by January 1, 2014.
Documents (PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint) dated January 1, 2012 or later will be posted to the website and made AODA compliant over the next several months.
Every effort will be made to make historical documents (PDF, scans, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint) dated prior to December 31, 2013 available and AODA compliant. We will amend this statement on the website to reflect any progress we have made on non-compliant documents.
In the event a document provided on the website contains elements that are inaccessible, an alternative method will be provided by contacting the Municipal Office at 519-786-2335.
For the visually impaired, large format printing is available at the Municipal Office, please call ahead to ensure availability at 519-786-2335.
We are committed to strive to ensure that people of all ages and abilities enjoy the same opportunity as they live, work, visit or play in our community. We are working actively to provide increased accessibility in the municipality through the prevention of new barriers and reduction and removal of existing barriers.
