The popular Grand Bend Beach welcomes thousands of visitors each year, and offers a selection of restaurants, small shops and night life destinations along the town's main strip. Ipperwash Beach, with its shallow waters, is a great family destination, with ample parking near the beach and nearby restaurants. The Pinery Provincial Park offers not only 10km of beaches, but plenty of activities including camping canoeing, hiking, biking and more.
Grand Bend Beach Cams
Sailing and boating enthusiasts can find everything they need at the Grand Bend Marina and the Port Franks Marina, both open from the Victoria Day holiday to Thanksgiving weekend. Marinas are operated by the Municipality's Community Services Department.
The Lambton Shores Harbours Committee has developed a Harbours Strategic Plan (September 2014) which represents to guide to the development and operation of the municipal marinas and the upstream harbour areas. The Plan was developed in partnership with various stakeholders including commercial marinas, businesses, homeowners, community groups and government agencies. It will help ensure the viability of the harbours, which in turn will have a positive economic impact for the community.
