RECREATION PROGRAMS & FACILITIES:
Beaches & Marinas
Beautiful sandy beaches along the clear, freshwater shores of Lake Huron make for special summers in and around Lambton Shores. Whatever your idea of summer fun, you’ll find it here.
The popular Grand Bend Beach welcomes thousands of visitors each year, and offers a selection of restaurants, small shops and night life destinations along the town’s main strip. Ipperwash Beach, with its shallow waters, is a great family destination, with ample parking near the beach and nearby restaurants. The Pinery Provincial Park offers not only 10km of beaches, but plenty of activities including camping canoeing, hiking, biking and more.
Sailing and boating enthusiasts can find everything they need at the Grand Bend Marina/Harbour and the Port Franks Marina/Harbour, both open from the Victoria Day holiday to Thanksgiving weekend. Marinas are operated by the Municipality’s Community Services Department.
