COUNCIL: STRATEGIC PLAN
Lambton Shores amalgamated in January 2001, with a population of 11,000 individuals and uniting the former Municipalities of Arkona, Bosanquet, Forest, Thedford and Grand Bend.
In 2002, Council and staff developed the initial Strategic Plan for Lambton Shores, based on input from focus groups.
In 2006, this plan was reviewed by both Council and local focus groups, and a new updated version of the Lambton Shores Strategic Plan was adopted, with the following Vision Statement.
VISION STATEMENT

Lambton Shores is a safe, attractive and welcoming place to live, work and play; with a strong economy, community spirit and pride. Citizens have access to excellent health, educational, cultural, and recreational & leisure facilities, programs and services. We are a growing community sensitive to our heritage, our environment and quality of life and a leader in local government service delivery.
