In order to assist with the nomination process, please find below the following information pertaining to the October Municipal Election:

The following information sheets are to be completed and returned to the Clerk:
Nomination Papers
Freedom of Information release
Declaration of Qualification* - Note it is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that he/she is a qualified elector, and remains a qualified elector

Nominated candidates will receive the following information, once it becomes available:

  • Voters’ List Extract Pertaining to the Office
  • The Declaration of the Proper Use of Voters’ List
  • Final Copy of the Candidates Maximum Spending Limits

The entire Municipal Elections Act, and the pertinent regulations are available on the E-laws website: www.e-laws.gov.on.ca, and additional information is available on the Ministry of Municipal Affairs website – www.mah.gov.on.ca – search word “Municipal Elections” or select “Local Government” on the left hand side of the page, scroll down to “Municipal Elections”
