MUNICIPAL SERVICES: OVERVIEW
The Municipality of Lambton Shores is comprised of three departments: Community Service, Finance and Clerks.
The Community Services Department is responsible for a multitude of municipal services in The Municipality of Lambton Shores. From the maintenance and rehabilitation of our local infrastructure including roads, sewers, water mains, sidewalks, street lights, to parks, harbours, beaches and cemeteries. Community Services employees are a highly visible and familiar presence in the lives of the citizens of Lambton Shores.
The Finance Department is responsible for the administration and maintenance of all financial records; including the day to day administration of the capital and operating budgets; financial reports, billing and collection of municipal taxes and water and sewer, processing of accounts receivables and accounts payable.
The Clerks Department has responsibility for Council and Committee services, administration of Building Inspection, licensing, by-law enforcement including animal control, and parking enforcement, official records, cemetery administration and the day to day administration of planning, zoning, and severances.

The Municipality of Lambton Shores has many by-laws that regulate items such as animal control, property standards, parking, beach use, open air burning, the height of fences etc.
By-laws are often updated and amended to deal with emergent issues and in order to ensure that residents are referencing the most up to date by-law; they are not available on the website.
