SEWERS & WASTEWATER
The Lambton Shores Wastewater Collection & Treatment System is operated and maintained through a contract with OMI Canada Inc. Their staff members are Certified Operators under Reg. 129/04 made under the Ontario Water Resources Act.
Wastewater treatment in Lambton Shores is performed at:
- Arkona Treatment Plant serving the former Village of Arkona
- Grand Bend Lagoon System serving the former Village of Grand Bend and western portion of South Huron formerly Stephen Twp
- Indian Hills Treatment System serving Indian Hills Golf Club and The Hills subdivision
- Forest Treatment Plant and Lagoon System serving the former Town of Forest
- Thedford Lagoon System serving the former Village of Thedford
The Municipality of Lambton Shores provides the operation, repair and maintenance of the collection and treatment portions of the system, including emergency repairs. The property owner is responsible for the portion of the sanitary lateral from the property line to the house.

Provincial Standards
Lambton Shores meets or exceeds all Provincial Standards. All of its systems are in compliance with regulations mandated by the Ministry of the Environment. The Municipality of Lambton Shores undergoes annual inspections of our system and plants to ensure compliance with our Certificate of Approvals.
