- Cinderella Story provides formal wear to young ladies who could not otherwise afford the expense of a new dress for prom. Items that can be donated include: gently used or new formal gowns, less than 5 years old and in excellent condition, formal shoes and formal jewelry. Donations can be dropped off at :

Ontario Early Years Centre offers many valuable programs and services to families of Lambton Shores. Some of the programs offered by the Centre are listed below. The OEYC Lambton-Kent-Middlesex is a family drop-in program operated by North Lambton Childcare Centre. It is part of the Ontario government's commitment to families with children ages 0-6.

Arkona Lioness Spring Bingo, April 19
Rock Glen Family Resort. Toonies special included a hotdog or soup, drink, and dessert for $2.00 and begins at 6:00pm. Bingo starts at 7:00pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Come out and have a great time playing Bingo.
Port Franks Seniors, Euchre- Rama, April 20

Lambton Shores Trash Bash, April 22
Throughout Lambton Shores. See front page artivle for times and locations Can't make it to Trash Bash? Try hosting your own neighbourhood Trash Bash! Be sure to contact someone from the committee so that the event can be included in our Brag Book. A second Trash Bash will be scheduled in July or August, closer to the judges' arrival date.
Grand Bend Lioness Present "Mario and the Magic Coat", April 23
Grand Bend Legion, 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 each or $54 for a group/family pass and are available from any Lioness member or Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery. Fun for the whole family.
Country Manor Retirement Facility - Fashion Show, April 24
Geri Fashions will be at the Country Manor 10:00am-3:00pm a Fashion Show will begin at 1:30pm with ladies and mens clothing. Everyone welcome.

Alhambra

Caring Quilters of Lambton Shores, is a non-profit organization of volunteers who create comfort quilts for distribution by Victim Services volunteers. We have just celebrated our 10th anniversary, and in those 10 years our group has created close to 700 quilts. We meet every Wednesday at the Port Franks Community Centre. Anyone of any age is welcome to join, no sewing or quilting experience necessary. For more information contact Annette Hitchins at GAHitchins@execulink.com or call 519-243-1318.
Grand Bend Social Film Group is a new organization that will meet the first Thursday of each month, with the exception of May through August. The group will meet at the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre in the Community Room (upstairs media room) from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Films will be of a general interest to adults, and a time for discussion will follow each showing for those interested. Admission is free with any donations returned to the community at the end of the season. Films purchased will be given to the local library. Anyone interested in volunteering with setup, film selection or money management should contact Dinah Taylor at 519-238-1114 or by email.
Kids Matter, Tuesdays
Port Franks Community Centre, Upper Hall, 10:00am - 2:00pm. Join us as we Crochet sleeping mats out of milk bags to send to the children in Africa and South America. Bring your lunch, scissors and a #7 crochet hook. Call Peggy at 519-296-5834 for details.
Forest Skating Club Annual General Meeting, April 26

Thedford Garden Club is dedicated to keeping the flower gardens around our community attractive. Meetings are held at the Village Complex on the second Tuesday of the month from April to December. We organize work parties for other evenings and weekends to keep our gardens beautiful. Grand Bend Women's Probus, is an organization for retired business and professional women. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from September to June at the Grand Bend Legion. Victim Services of Sarnia - Lambton Inc. is currently seeking caring individuals interested in volunteering in Lambton County. Victim Services is a volunteer organization that works with police to provide immediate emotional and practical support to victims of crime and tragic circumstance. Lambton Shores YMCA offers a variety of programs at the Shores Recreation Centre in Forest including Y-Bo, Y-Stretch, Zumba, spin classes and more. The Watercolour Café presents drop-in classes beginning in May at the Port Franks Community Centre. All paints, brushes and paper provided. Tea is also provided.
