The Municipality of Lambton Shores has procured CT Environmental to undertake flushing of the Municipal sanitary sewers. The sanitary sewers are cleaned using a high-pressure nozzle to flush any potential built-up debris through the sewer.
The flushing program in Forest is scheduled for June 20 and June 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will affect:
- Townsend Line – Western Sewer Extent to Union Street
- Union Street – Townsend Line to Queen Street
- Queen Street – Union Street to Ontario Street

Temporary Road Closure: Government Road at Roundabout

Be advised there will be a brief road closure on Government Road (entrance to the Main Beach Parking Lot) on Thursday, June 8 at 9:30 p.m. to accommodate work on the crosswalk. The closure will not affect general access to the roundabout from Main Street. Any cars in the parking lot during the closure will still have the ability to exit.
Lambton Shores Issues Open Air Burn Restrictions

As of June 5, 2023, the Municipality of Lambton Shores has issued open air burn restrictions, which will temporarily pause the issuance of all open air burn permits across the Municipality. Open air burn permits previously issued have now also been suspended.
The restrictions are due to the extremely dry conditions caused by a recent stretch of higher temperatures and limited rainfall. They will remain in place until further notice.

The Municipality of Lambton Shores has earned the prestigious 2023 Blue Flag Canada designation at the Grand Bend Beach, Grand Bend Marina, and Port Franks Marina. It marks the 15th consecutive year the Blue Flag has been flown in Lambton Shores.
In 2023, Grand Bend beach is one of 20 Canadian beaches to earn the designation, while the Municipality's marinas are among the only nine marinas in the country to fly the blue flag.
