The Municipality of Lambton Shores joins communities across Canada in mourning the 215 children whose remains have been found at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia. The discovery of the remains at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation territory was made public Thursday.
Flags on all Lambton Shores flagpoles will be lowered until further notice to honour the lives and memories of the 215 First Nation, Métis, and Inuit...

Lambton Shores firefighters responded to Port Franks Marina on Thursday night (May 27th) after the marina’s pavilion caught fire. Firefighters were able to quickly control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.

AERIAL SPRAY NOTIFICATION – Gypsy Moth Control Program

UPDATE (May 28th, 2021): Zimmer Air Services Inc. was unable to complete their second aerial spray this week due to weather conditions. Weather permitting, the spray program is scheduled to resume Sunday morning (May 30th) between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

The second aerial spray application has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 25th. As with the first spray, Zimmer Air Services is scheduled to administer the aerial spray between 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. using helicopter.

On April 7th, 2021 the Province of Ontario instituted Ontario Regulation 265/21 (Stay At Home Order). The stay-at-home order requires residents to stay at home and only leave for essential purposes.

AERIAL SPRAY NOTIFICATION – Gypsy Moth Control Program

An aerial spray for the control of Gypsy Moths has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 18th, 2021. Zimmer Air Services Inc. is scheduled to administer the aerial spray by helicopter between 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Residents can expect high audible levels during the spray.
Weather is the primary factor when scheduling spray dates. If the weather is not cooperative on the scheduled date, the spray will commence the next available day that weather parameters are within approved limits. A rescheduling...
