Half Load Restrictions

Half load restrictions are in effect on Lambton Shores roads as of Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Half Load restrictions will be in place until May 1, 2023.
Load restrictions are in effect each year in the Spring when roads are weakened by excess water, which can lead to damage by heavy vehicles. To protect the roads, weight limits are in place until the roads are determined to be structurally sound.
Load restrictions are weather dependent and may be extended as late as May 31, 2023, if necessary.

Notice of Study Commencement Class Environmental Assessment Stormwater Management Master Plan (SWMMP)
The Municipality of Lambton Shores (Municipality) has retained Arcadis/IBI Group to develop a Stormwater Management (SWM) Master Plan (SWMMP) to establish a much-needed road map for the Municipality to advance the development of a comprehensive stormwater management strategy to address current and future needs within the Village of Grand Bend (Village). Lambton Shores Short-Term Rental Licensing Program Takes Effect February 1, 2023

Short-term rental owners can now apply for a Short-Term Rental Licence with the Municipality of Lambton Shores, which will be required in accordance with a licensing by-law passed by Council on June 7, 2022. The licensing by-law includes a comprehensive licensing program that comes into effect on February 1, 2023.
