Huron Shores Area Transit Returning to $5 and $10 Fares

Starting April 1, 2023, Huron Shores Area Transit (HSAT) is bringing back its original fare structure of $5 for local trips and $10 for long-distance trips, and increasing its Smart Card Monthly Pass from $50 to $60 for unlimited rides in a 31-day period. Children 12 and under will continue to ride free when accompanied by an adult.

Lambton Shores Launches 2023 Firefighter Recruitment Campaign

Lambton Shores, ON – Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services has put out a call for part-time/on-call firefighters as the department launches their annual firefighter recruitment campaign. During this year’s recruitment campaign, the Municipality is looking to recruit a total of 18 firefighters across all five fire stations:
- Arkona: 2 openings
- Forest: 10 openings
- Grand Bend: 2 openings
- Northville: 2 openings
- Thedford: 2 openings

Lambton Shores Ends Significant Weather Declaration

In accordance with the Provincial Minimum Maintenance Standards, the Municipality of Lambton Shores has ended the significant weather event for the area, as of 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022.
Crews continue to clear Municipal roads to bring them back to normal conditions. We would like to sincerely thank the road crews who worked hard throughout the holidays to maintain and clear the local road network.
