Municipal Impacts: Ontario Takes Additional Steps to Ease Public Health Measures

With public health and health system indicators continuing to improve, the Ontario Government and Lambton Public Health have taken additional steps to ease public health measures.

Huron Shores Area Transit Launches New Schedule

Huron Shores Area Transit (HSAT) will be launching a service expansion, beginning Sunday, February 6, 2022. As part of the service expansion, several routes and schedules will change.
Route changes
Route 1 (Sarnia to Grand Bend) will have a third daily run added with new stops in Thedford, Arkona, and the Sarnia Walmart Supercentre
Route 2 (Grand Bend to London) will have a new stop at the University Hospital - London Health Sciences Centre

With winter arriving in full force, the Municipality of Lambton Shores and the Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services want to remind the public of the dangers around shelf ice and storm water ponds.
Shelf Ice
If you're walking along the Lake Huron shoreline, you will notice ice build up as the lake begins to freeze and "wash up" along the shoreline. Although this ice might look safe, it is incredibly dangerous and should never be walked on.
Even if the ice looks thick, it is incredibly deceiving....
Forest Library Closure

UPDATE: Lambton County Library will reopen the Forest Library on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The Service Desk will remain unavailable because of a manufacturing delay, but the library branch will return to regular operation on Tuesday.
