Municipal Impacts as Ontario returns to Modified Step 2 framework

The Ontario government has announced that as of 12:01 a.m. on January 5, 2022, the province will return to a modified version of Step Two of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen. The measures will be in place for at least 21 days, subject to trends in public health and the health care system.

Office Closures
With the holiday season approaching, the Municipality of Lambton Shores reminds the public that all Municipal offices will be closed for the holidays, beginning Friday, December 24, 2021. Staff will be available to respond to your phone calls and emails once offices reopen on Monday, January 3, 2022.
While Municipal offices are closed, our after-hours emergency phone number is still available using the following extensions:

Lambton Shores public skating resumes throughout the week and weekends

The Municipality of Lambton Shores is happy to announce that public skating programs have resumed at the Shores Recreation Centre and Legacy Recreation Centre.
The public skating schedule can be found below, but we encourage everyone to check the Public Skating Calendar before heading out to the arena. Any changes to the schedule due to holidays or unexpected cancellations will be posted there.

Council met at the Legacy Centre in Thedford on November 9th and 30th, 2021. The public is welcome to attend meetings in person however, the option to view meetings on the Lambton Shores website continues to be available.

Huron Shores Area Transit Announces New Fare

Huron Shores Area Transit (HSAT) has announced a new system-wide fare as of November 15, 2021. The new system-wide fare is $5, allowing riders to board and exit anywhere on a route within the serviced locations for one price.
Children ages 12 and under will continue to ride for free.
