Lambton Shores, ON – On June 7, 2022, Lambton Shores Council passed a by-law that will require all short-term rental accommodations in Lambton Shores to obtain an annual licence to operate. The new by-law includes a comprehensive licensing program and comes into effect on February 1, 2023.

For the 14th consecutive year, the Municipality of Lambton Shores has earned the prestigious Blue Flag Canada designation at the Grand Bend Beach, Grand Bend Marina, and Port Franks Marina. The Municipality will proudly fly the Blue Flags once again this summer, with only 22 beaches and ten marinas across Canada receiving the designation in 2022.

Local Elevated Risk Area Identified for Lyme disease

Lambton Public Health (LPH) has identified the Pinery Provincial Park and a 20km surrounding area - including Port Franks - as a high-risk area for Lyme disease due to the increased blacklegged tick population and the number of ticks positive for the bacteria that causes Lyme disease.
