Lambton Shores Looking for Input from Local Businesses

October 31, 2019 – Lambton Shores, ON – The Municipality of Lambton Shores has launched a Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) Project. The BR+E project aims to explore how local business can be supported and continue to grow in our community.

BR+E projects have been implemented in communities across the province. The results of BR+E projects in other communities have been impressive: new local investment, new jobs, fewer barriers to development and easier access to business resources.

This is an opportunity for local businesses to share their challenges, experiences, and successes.  The project outcome will include the development of an Action Plan designed to guide the Municipality’s support of the local business environment. All business types, large and small, from all areas of the Municipality are welcome to contribute.

Data used to inform the Action Plan is collected through interviews with local business operators.  These interviews can be accommodated by phone or in person and generally take between 30 and 60 minutes.  To ensure transparency and honesty during the data collection process, interviews and the information collected will remain confidential. The Municipality has retained the services of consulting firm Rebel Office to assist with this process.

The BR+E Plan will be presented to Council early in 2020 with recommendations that can be implemented over the next ten years by the Municipality, partner agencies and the business community.

Businesses within Lambton Shores are invited to request an interview by contacting Rebel Office at sarah@rebeloffice.ca or (705) 344-5862.
