A Message from Mayor Bill Weber

Posted On Friday March 20, 2020
Hello Everyone,

During these unprecedented times, I want to reassure you that your Lambton Shores Council and Staff are committed to providing the municipal services that you rely on every day.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have been taking all of the necessary steps to protect the health and well-being of our residents by following the recommendations from our local public health officials. I encourage you to do the same.

We are all in this together. Which means now more than ever it is important to remember our local businesses. Small business operators are the backbone of our economy and they need our support. I encourage you to look first to local businesses when making purchases and let’s keep our dollars cycling through our community. With the help of local business community, we are now sharing a list of open services that is available on our COVID-19 Information Hub .

It is in times like these that we must all remember that the real heroes in this crisis are those who reach out to help others. Whether it be the person who brought groceries to someone less able; the person who makes a simple phone call to remind someone that we are all facing this crisis together; or, the person who is offering flexibility to meet their employees’ needs. That’s what small town Ontario is all about - we all have each other’s backs!

If we follow the messaging and wash our hands and keep social distances and isolate ourselves if we have been away, we will get through this.

Take good care and stay healthy,

Bill
