Municipality of Lambton Shores Declares State of Emergency

March 18, 2020 – Lambton Shores, ON – Following the lead of the Province of Ontario and the County of Lambton, the Municipality of Lambton Shores has made the decision to declare a State of Emergency effective today, March 18, 2020 at 3:15 p.m. in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. 

A State of Emergency was declared for the following reasons:

  • To raise public awareness regarding the gravity of the COVID-19 pandemic situation,
  • To protect volunteers that may be called to assist,
  • To preserve the rights of the Municipality for future compensation should it become available; and
  • To ensure the organization can quickly respond to other unforeseen events should they arise.
