Council Highlights

Meeting of Council held October 30, 2018

  • Planning Public Meetings were held for:
    • Zoning By-Law Amendment – Proof Line at Pioneer Drive - Vance;
    • Zoning By-Law Amendment – 7610 Biddulph Street - Russell;
    • Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendments – 9899 Klondyke Rd – VA Sand and Gravel.
  • Council heard a presentation from Alan and Sandra Cronk objecting to a proposed encroachment agreement for 20 Woodward Ave.
  • Eric Bujold presented his rationale for the encroachment agreement at 20 Woodward Ave.
  • Council did not approve the encroachment agreement at 20 Woodward Ave and directed that any structures on municipal road allowance at this property be removed.
  • GM BluePlan Engineering Limited was appointed as drainage engineer for drainage in the area of Maple and Albert Streets in Forest.
  • Council received the 3rd quarter operating and capital financial statements.
  • Council supported Councillor Dodge’s Notice of Motion for the inclusion of $25,000 for small scale playground equipment at the Lake Valley Grove neighbourhood park in the 2019 Capital Budget.
  • Council approved the disposition of a parcel of land abutting 95 King Street East in Forest to be sold directly to the abutting landowner for a $21.50 per square metre.
