Council Highlights – June 18, 2019

 

  • A public meeting was held for a zoning by-law amendment application at 9569 Ipperwash Road; the decision was deferred pending analysis of issues identified by the Conservation Authority
  • Council adopted the audited 2018 Financial Statements as prepared and presented by BDO Canada
  • Representatives of the Lambton Shores Lightning Athletic Association made a presentation to Council which highlighted the U-16 Nationals team and their upcoming tournament in Kentucky
  • An updated Fire and Emergency Services Establishing and Regulating By-Law was enacted
  • The tender from Birnam Excavating in the amount of $ 5,007,129.26 was accepted for the Main Street South project; additional costs were funded from the Federal Gas Tax Fund and the transportation and water reserve funds
  • Council approved the update of the Grand Bend lighthouse signs with Lambton Shores branding
  • The Lambton Shores Strategic Asset Management Policy was adopted
  • Council approved both the 2018 Development Charge and Cash in Lieu of Parkland statements
  • A revised by-law for the licensing of mobile food and refreshment service equipment was approved
  • Noise By-Law exemptions were approved for Green Have Trailer Park and Ipperwash Beach Club
