Trash Bash Events

Contact - Ruth Illman

This is a volunteer-driven community clean-up effort to pick up roadside trash and litter in our parks. An event is organized in each community around Earth Day each year and again in July.

A BIG 'thank you' to all the volunteers that came out to help clean up Lambton Shores! We are happy to report there was less trash this year. Keep up the great work!

Adopt-A-Pot or Plot

Contact - Grace Dekker

Adopt a Pot and Adopt a Plot will continue in 2018. Adopters are responsible for watering, fertilizing, dead heading and weeding.  Committee members are happy to provide advice where needed!

This year's planters will contain Supertunia Petunias in Royal Velvet, Surfinia Petunias in Sumo Pink, Alyssum in Knight White and Sweet Caroline Sweetheart Lime potato vine.

The Forest Garden Club and Lambton Shores Communities in Bloom have received funding from the Forest Community Foundation to improve the accessibility or the garden with raised beds and packed gravel pathways. Thank you to all the businesses that took the time to enhance their storefronts with floral displays! Our judges had a great time touring Lambton Shores and presenting so many of our businesses with certificates for the "Best Bloomin' Container", "Best Bloomin' Window Boxes" and the "Ultimate Bloomin' Business". We love how they are displayed in your windows and were splashed all over social media!
