Grand Bend Beach Cams

Remember to NEVER climb on shelf ice
As winter weather arrives and temperatures begin to drop, we will begin to see the formation of shelf ice. Shelf ice is the result of winds and waves pushing ice floats to shore, creating hills and mounds of ice. Shelf ice is not like ice on a pond - there is moving water underneath that creates holes and weak spots from below. Enjoy the beauty of the ice banks from the safety of shore.
