Outdoor Event

If you're planning an outdoor sports event, family reunion or large community event, we have the perfect location for you!

Events taking place at the Grand Bend Beach or an outdoor space are subject to the discretion of the Community Services Department and/or Council.

All outdoor events must comply with the Parks and Facilities By-Law and the Grand Bend Beach Use Policy or the Outdoor Event Policy.

Before you submit your request…

When you submit your event request, you will need to include the following information:

Desired event location

Search our facilities to find the perfect location for your event.

Location requirements

Do you have any specific needs like a stage, washrooms, garbage/recycling units, audio-visual systems, access to electrical or tables and chairs? Please include these in your event request, so we can ensure the facility you book will suit your needs.


Select a date for your event, as well as an alternate date. Facilities are booked on a first-come first-served basis, however we do our best to accommodate all requests.

When considering the amount time to book the facility, be sure to include enough time for set-up before and clean-up following your event.

Event type and details

What kind of event are you hosting? What activities do you plan to present during your event?


How many attendees do you anticipate attending your event?


Are you serving alcohol at your event? All licensed events must follow the Municipal Alcohol Policy and have a Special Occasions Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Corporation of Ontario.

Other event details

List any other event details. This can include, but is not limited to: food trucks, inflatables, amusement rides, stages, live or pre-recorded music, other forms of entertainment, selling goods or merchandise, fireworks, etc.

If assistance from Municipal Staff is required during your event, there may be an additional fee. Please make note of this when you submit your event request.

An Event Safety Risk Control Plan may be required.

Once you have the above details, please contact the Parks and Recreation department to submit your rental request or complete the Outdoor Event Application. Depending on the size and details of your event, you many need to complete additional forms.
