Canadian Red Cross – Volunteer driver

We need volunteers to drive the frail, elderly and/or adults with physical disabilities to and from medical appointments.

Friends of Pinery Park – Various positions

We need volunteers for various activities in the Park. Some activities include: dune grass dig, fish fries, Nature Store help and special events.

Grand Bend Community Foundation – Board and committee members

We need volunteers for the Foundation Board and our committee. For details, call 519-238-2190.

Grand Bend Community Health Centre – Exercise class and walking program instructors

We need exercise class and walking program instructors in Port Franks and Grand Bend. We will provide all training. Call Cindy Maxfield, Health Promoter at 519-238-1556 ext. 231 for details.

Grand Bend Horticultural Society – Gardeners

We need volunteers to help maintain several gardens throughout Grand Bend. For details call Regine Switzer at 519-238-5165 or email gbhort@outlook.com.

Ipperwash Phrag Phighters

Volunteers are a vital part of the group. For a short term commitment, the group will be needing volunteers in late June and late September each year to shade Phragmites on the beach and dunes. High school students are welcome! Anyone looking to become a committee member is also welcome. Please email ipperwashphragphighters@gmail.com for more information

Lambton Shores Phragmites Community Group – Various positions

We need volunteers to:

Help cut seed heads and stems and spade Phragmites along the shoreline, locate and identify Phragmites, distribute information and to monitor and take pictures. All jobs are weather dependent.

Lambton Shores Nature Trails – Chainsaw operators

We need volunteers who are certified chainsaw operators to fell dead ash trees to help keep trails safe. Call Klaus at 519-243-0123.

North Lambton Community Health Centre – Various positions

Various volunteer positions are available. The North Lambton Community Health Centre webpage has details, or call 519-786-4545 ext. 273.

One Care – Various positions

We are looking for volunteers in the Grand Bend area to support seniors through home visits, as drivers, assisting at the dining program and the day program. Call 1-877-502-8277 ext. 2001 or email ggowanlock@onecaresupport.ca.

Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario – Walk-it event committee members
