Canadian Red Cross – Volunteer driver

We need volunteers to drive the frail, elderly and/or adults with physical disabilities to and from medical appointments.

Friends of Pinery Park – Various positions

We need volunteers for various activities in the Park. Some activities include: dune grass dig, fish fries, Nature Store help and special events.

Grand Bend Community Foundation – Board and committee members

Grand Bend Community Health Centre – Walking program instructors

We need of an instructor for the walking program that takes place at the Lambton Heritage Museum. We will provide all training. Call Cindy Maxfield, Health Promoter at 519-238-1556 ext. 231 for details.

Grand Bend Jingle Bells Group - Help for November 15

The Jingle Bells Group is getting ready to light up Grand Bend for the holiday season. The event takes place on November 15th and we are looking for volunteers to help out. If you can spare some time in the 2 weeks leading up to the event please contact Suzie via cell 519 852-5002 or email susanaalmeida36@msn. 

Ipperwash Phrag Phighters

Volunteers are a vital part of the group. For a short term commitment, the group will be needing volunteers in late June and late September each year to spade Phragmites on the beach and dunes. High school students are welcome! Anyone looking to become a committee member is also welcome. Please email ipperwashphragphighters@gmail.com for more information

Lambton Shores Phragmites Community Group – Various positions

We need volunteers to:

Help cut seed heads and stems and spade Phragmites along the shoreline, locate and identify Phragmites, distribute information and to monitor and take pictures. All jobs are weather dependent.

Lambton Shores Nature Trails – Various Positions

LSNT is growing organization and always looking for volunteers!

Lambton Shores Nature Trails is dedicated to protecting and preserving invironmentally sensitive areas of Lambton Shores and vicinity.

To achieve this we established a network of nature trails in partnership with the owners of these special lands.

LSNT is currently looking for volunteers for the following positions:

  • Trail blazing and clearing 
  • Hike Leaders
  • Licensed chain saw persons

On our Committees we are looking for:

  • Committee Secretary for minutes and agenda
  • Email Newsletter and Social Media 
  • Marketing & Fundraising Group
  • Working with youth programs

Thank a local volunteer or group through the Lambton Shores Volunteer Recognition Program. Nomination forms are due the third Friday in June each year. Council present the awards annually at the Volunteer Recognition BBQ in September.
