Council met on February 1, 10 and 22. All three meetings were live streamed on the Lambton Shores website.
Council Highlights:
- Council approved a site plan agreement with Widder Station Golf & Country Club
- Information reports regarding the 2022 Municipal Election were received
- Council declared municipal property to be surplus to the needs of the municipality; notice of the disposition is posted on the municipal website
- The 2022 Operating and Capital Budgets were approved; in 2022 there will be a 0% tax rate change over 2021
- A Public Meeting was held for Zoning By-Law Amendment application for 17 Pine Street, Grand Bend to permit an R3 Zone with site specific provisions for the construction of a triplex dwelling. The application was denied
- Council scheduled quarterly Committee of the Whole meetings in 2022 for the purpose of discussing the Quarterly Financial Reports
- Council renewed leases with both the Ausable Port Franks Optimist and Grand Bend Area Chamber of Commerce
- A report for recommendations and options for Short Term Rental regulations and licensing was received by Council. The program will be posted for public comment beginning February 28, 2022
- The tender for Ontario Street North Reconstruction was awarded to Birnam Excavating Limited for $ 6,258,084.12
- The quarterly financial report was approved and the 2021 surplus was allocated to various reserve funds
- Council directed staff to prepare an encroachment agreement for a fence at 6 Main Street Grand Bend
