Lambton Shores Council met on June 7 and June 28 for regularly scheduled council meetings.
Council Highlights:
- Public Meetings for Zoning By-Law Amendments were held for:
- 8081 Willsie Line to rezone the property from the Agriculture-2 Exception 1 zone to a site-specific residential zone permitting single detached dwellings and a minimum lot size of 3000 m2; the ZBA was approved
- 8562 and 8580 Townsend Line to proposes to rezone a portion of the property 8562 Townsend Line and the entirety of 8580 Townsend Line for the purpose of a lot addition to 8580 Townsend Line; the ZBA was approved
- Goosemarsh Line - Concession C, Plan 7 Lot 20 from Ag to Ag and Environmental Protection – Woodlot Zones with a minimum required setback of 15 m from the EP-WD Zone for all buildings and structures; the ZBA was approved
- Council asked staff to prepare a report for consideration of a Grand Bend Community Centre Committee
- A Short Term Rental Licensing By-Law was approved to come into effect February 2023
- Lavis Contracting Co. was awarded the 2022 asphalt resurfacing contract for $ 225,975.00
- The 2022 tax rates were approved and will remain the same as in 2021
- Consideration of the Report for the John Coultis Drain 2022 took place and by-law provisionally passed
- Council received the 2021 Financial Statements and heard the municipality is in a good financial position
- The previously deferred ZBA application for 10039-10063 Lakeshore Road was approved
- The purchase of a Pumper Tanker was awarded to Safetek Emergency Vehicles in the amount of $ 903,218
- The 2021 Development Charges and Cash in Lieu of Parkland were received
- Council passed a new Records Retention By-Law
- An engineer was appointed for improvements to the Smejkal Drain
