Lambton Shores Council met on March 15, 2022 for a regularly scheduled council meeting.
Highlights:
- Council received a presentation from Lambton Area Water Supply System (LAWSS) requesting support for a joint funding application for LAWSS capital project; staff is to report back to Council on the request
- Council supported a resolution to dissolve the Ontario Land Tribunal
- Council received a report about the Redevelopment of Municipal Drive/Lions Park and asked staff to begin planning for the future of the property by assessing the future of the existing municipal administration building, the requirements for a new works depot and recreational facilites
- Permission was granted to Grand Bend Optimist Club for Grand Bend Beachfest
- The Lambton Film and Food Festival received permission for the temporary closure of a section of King Street in Forest from May 26-29, 2022
- The 2021 Lambton Shores Annual Water Reports were received
- Johnston Brothers Bothwell Limited was awarded the tender for the supply and delivery of Granular ‘M’ Gravel
- Lavis Contracting Company Limited was awarded the Ravenswood Line Reconstruction Tender in the amount of $ 3,889,841.20
- A Conditional Building Permit for 62 Main Street, Grand Bend
