Council to return to virtual meetings

Out of an abundance of caution, Lambton Shores Council has made the decision to return to a virtual format for Council meetings. The decision was made amidst mounting concerns over the spread of COVID-19’s Omicron variant and public health guidelines that advise limiting indoor public gatherings.

Although Council meetings will return to a virtual format, meetings will continue to be live streamed for the public.

A few notes regarding the upcoming Council meeting on December 21st, 2021:

  • If you planned to attend the meeting, you can still watch live. A link to watch live will be added to the Council Meeting Calendar shortly before the meeting begins
  • If you planned to speak at the meeting regarding a planning application, please complete the online webform to register as a speaker for the meeting

If you would like to speak at the meeting, please submit your webform by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21. This allows staff to ensure you receive your link to speak ahead of the meeting.

The Municipality continues to follow direction from Lambton Public Health and encourages everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated. As of Monday, December 20, all Ontarians 18+ are eligible for a COVID-19 booster at the three-month interval. Lambton Public Health continues to offer community clinics for first, second, and third doses. More information can be found on their website at
