With public health and health system indicators continuing to improve, the Ontario Government and Lambton Public Health have taken additional steps to ease public health measures.
In addition to lifting capacity limits in indoor public settings, the Province has now lifted proof of vaccination requirements for all settings. In response to the provincial announcement, Lambton Public Health has lifted the local Letter of Instruction requiring proof of vaccination for persons entering facilities used for sport and recreational fitness activities.
Municipal impacts in accordance with this announcement:
- Proof of vaccination will no longer be required for entry into Municipal recreation facilities
- The Provincial mask mandate remains in place, and face masks or face coverings must be worn when inside a Municipal facility (set out in O. Reg. 364/20 under the Reopening Ontario Act, 2020) and physical distancing is still encouraged
As always, do not attend a facility if you are feeling unwell. If you have tested positive or show signs of symptoms of COVID-19, follow all current guidelines from Lambton Public Health.
