Project Manager - Community Improvement Plan

Working under the direction of the CAO or designate, and with the guidance of the Senior Planner and Communications and Economic Development Coordinator, the Project Manager – CIP will conduct all necessary actions to develop a Community Improvement Plan for the commercial core areas in Arkona, Forest, Grand Bend, Ipperwash, Port Franks and Thedford. The Manager will also design a program for long term implementation of the completed CIP.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in planning or a related discipline and will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in municipal planning.

The salary for this position is currently set at $71,926.

 Drainage Superintendent

Working under the direction of the Director of Community Services, the Drainage Superintendent is responsible for the administration of the Drainage Act as it relates to drainage system and drainage inspection duties. Key technical responsibilities include management including maintenance and construction of the Municipal Drainage Infrastructure, accepting and coordinating drainage petitions, assisting in the preparation of assessment calculations.

The ideal candidate will be a member (or able to attain membership) of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the administration of municipal drainage systems, or demonstrated applicable municipal experience.

The Municipality offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefit plan. The salary for this position is currently set at $66,887 to $83,609.

Part-Time Arena Attendant

The Municipality of Lambton Shores is looking for dynamic, highly motivated and energetic individuals that will be under the direction and supervision of the Arena Lead Hand and/or Supervisor, and performs general custodial and maintenance duties in the Legacy Centre and Shores Recreation Centre.

All successful candidates will have good interpersonal skills, organizational skills and customer service skills as well as an ability to identify and resolve problematic situations.

Applicants will require a CSA approved Helmet. A satisfactory criminal reference check will be required from all successful candidates.

All positions require the successful candidate to work flexible hours, including Saturday and Sunday, holidays and special event skating as required.
