Proposed King Street West Reconstruction Project

Project Background

In 2024, Lambton Shores Council received a presentation from the Forest BIA on King Street West in Forest and ideas on future construction plans. The presentation was focused on re-imagining King Street in the downtown area.

Lambton Shores had budgeted money to replace the sidewalks downtown and that money was repurposed to start engineering a future reconstruction project on King Street. Staff engaged an engineering consultant to work on the engineering and design for this project.

Next steps: Public Open House and Public Input

The Municipality, in partnership with the project engineering team, hosted a Public Open House on October 16, 2025. The open house was an opportunity for the community to learn more about the project, the options presented, and ask questions to the project team.
