Conserve Water Notice Lifted

The Municipality recognizes there have been questions about why advance notice was not provided for this water service disruption.

While the infrastructure work taking place at the Lake Huron Water Treatment Plant was planned, the impact currently being experienced within the Lambton Shores water system was not a planned or anticipated service interruption as part of that work.

We understand the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate everyone’s patience as crews continue to work on repairs.

At this time, we continue to ask residents to reduce non-essential water use and conserve water where possible. Updates will continue to be provided until normal water use can resume.

The Municipality continues to ask residents to temporarily reduce non-essential water use and conserve water where possible. The water supply to the Municipality has been temporarily reduced due to ongoing water supply and pressure issues.

While crews continue to work on repairs, please consider postponing activities that use larger amounts of water, such as:

• Doing laundry, running dishwashers, or taking long showers
• Watering lawns and gardens or running sprinkler systems
• Washing cars and vehicles
• Topping up or filling swimming pools and hot tubs
• Running decorative outdoor fountains or recreational water sprinklers

Residents may continue to experience lower than normal water pressure until the system is restored. Municipal splashpads and bulk water fill stations remain closed.

We appreciate everyone’s ongoing cooperation while this work is underway, and the Municipality will continue to provide updates until normal water use can resume.

Where possible, please postpone activities that use larger amounts of water, such as doing laundry, watering lawns and gardens, or taking longer showers.

Residents may also experience lower than normal water pressure until the system is restored.

Please be advised that municipal splashpads are also closed for the day and all bulk water stations are closed until further notice.
