Council Highlights: October 2025

- Council heard a presentation from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation focusing on the municipality’s growth trends
- Centre Ipperwash Community Association made a presentation to Council outlining community concerns
- A public meeting was held for ZBA/OPA for 16 Sauble River Rd & 18 Eighty One Cres to re-designate and rezone the property to residential; the application was approved
- A public meeting was held for a ZBA for 9136 Arkona Rd as a condition of severance for a surplus farm dwelling severance; the application was approved
- Consideration of the Report was held for the Robinson Monkhouse and John Coultis Drains
- Council approved the Forest Curling Club Large Vibrancy Request
- The tender for the HVAC unit at the Legacy Recreation Centre was awarded to Combustiontechs in the amount of $ 107,485.56
- Sev-Con Paving was awarded the asphalt patching tender in the amount of $ 145,772.07
- Council directed staff to review the design and location of the Grand Bend Community Centre project to reduce the overall budget and provide fundraising options
- The tender for the Forest Connecting Link paving project was awarded to Dufferin Construction Company in the amount of $ 401,390.50
- Council referred a report on Jericho Road to the Finance Committee for consideration in the 2026 budget
- A new cemetery by-law was approved
- Simply Voting Inc was awarded the contract for the 2026 Municipal Election voting services provider
- Council approved the 2026 meeting calendar
