Water Meter Upgrade Program: Neptune

The Municipality of Lambton Shores is conducting a water meter upgrade program. The Municipality is working with Neptune Technology Group Canada Company (Neptune) for the supply and installation services of the water meters within Lambton Shores.

The project involves lifecycle replacement of water meters and plumbing components necessary at residences, businesses, and other water customers in the municipality.

Property owners in the program area received a mailed notice with more information, including instructions on how to book an appointment for the meter installation. To accommodate a range of availability, Neptune will be scheduling appointments Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Other Important Information About Your Home's Water System

To keep our drinking water system safe and reliable, all properties in Lambton Shores are required to have a backflow preventer installed (By-Law 65-2008). New meter assemblies include a backflow preventer, and homeowners are encouraged to investigate their system to ensure a thermal expansion tank is installed.
