Council Highlights: September 2025

Council highlights for September 2025:

• Council heard a presentation from Forest Curling Club to support their Vibrancy - Large Project Application
• The auditors presented the 2024 Audited Financial Statements which were approved by Council
• Council approved the Lakeshore Eco-Network Large Vibrancy Request
• Frank VanBussel and Sons was awarded the contract for the Forest Parkette Expansion in the amount of $ 108,389.05
• Council the placement of a new stop sign at the corner of Louisa and Cameron Streets in Thedford
• All Seasons Excavating was awarded the tender for the Dietrich Crescent road widening in the amount of $ 102,860.97
• An agreement with the Ontario Restaurant Hotel and Motel Association was approved for the collection of MAT tax beginning in 2026
• Council approved a new Investment Policy and investment standard for the municipality
• Staff was directed to prepare an RFP for the purchase of a pumper tanker for the Forest Station
• Staff was directed to prepare a report to permit buskers at Grand Bend Main Beach
