Dave Mounsey Memorial Funds Donates AED to Lambton Shores
On Tuesday, December 9, the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund donated its 233rd defibrillator to date, which went to the Municipality of Lambton Shores’ By-Law Enforcement Services. The life-saving device was donated to the memory of Private Douglas Rinker of Thedford, with his family in attendance for the presentation of a remembrance plaque to accompany the automated external defibrillator (AED).
“On behalf of the Municipality of Lambton Shores, I want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund for this generous and meaningful donation,” said Mayor Doug Cook. “The donation stands as a tribute to Private Douglas Rinker’s service and sacrifice, and we are grateful that this life-saving device will continue to reflect his legacy while protecting our community and making a difference in the lives of others.”
The Municipality continues to maintain AEDs in many public facilities across Lambton Shores, and this additional device will further strengthen the ability to respond quickly in an emergency.
The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund is dedicated to the donation of life-saving defibrillators to public buildings in the name of fallen Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS and Military members who have died in the line of duty.
