Join Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services in celebrating Fire Prevention Week (FPW) from October 6-24, 2024!
This year's FPW campaign is "Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!"
This year's focus strives to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in your home.
Why is this important? Only installed and working smoke alarms save lives!
Key Smoke Alarm Safety Reminders:
Install
Install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area (like a hallway), and on each level (including the basement) of the home.
Test Alarms
Test smoke alarms at least once a month by pushing the test button.
Replace Alarms
Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10 years old* or stop responding when tested.
*Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions when it comes to when the smoke alarm should be replaced.

- Station 1 (Arkona): October 5 from 10am-2pm
- Station 2 (Forest): October 12 from 10am-1pm
- Station 3 (Grand Bend): October 10 from 5pm to 7pm
- Station 4 (Northville): October 9 from 5pm to 7pm
- Station 5 (Thedford): October 8 from 5pm to 7pm
