Garbage, Recycling and Compost

Bluewater Recycling Association (BRA) provides weekly garbage and recycling pick-up in Lambton Shores. BRA uses a co-collection system, meaning both garbage and recycling are collected at the same time, using the same truck.

Did you know the loader arms on the collection trucks can reach 10-15' to grab your bin? When it comes to placing your bins by the road, please avoid placing them on the sidewalk, especially during the winter season.
Hitting or pushing bins with trucks, wings or plows is often unavoidable depending on the placement of bins. Keeping the loader arm length, keeping your bin(s) off the sidewalk and away from the immediate roadside can help keep them out of harms way.

Sign up for BRA's Collection Reminder App and never forget to put your garbage and recycling out again!

Other Waste Disposal Options:

Electronic Waste (e-waste) is harmful to the environment when not disposed of properly. Certain electronic items can be dropped off at the Northville Public Works Depot (9575 Port Franks Road) for proper disposal. There is no fee for this service.

RPRA’s ‘Where to Recycle’ map displays locations across Ontario where you can drop off used materials to be recycled, such as batteries, electronics, household hazardous waste, lighting and tires, for free. Materials collected at these locations are reused, refurbished, recycled, or properly disposed of to help keep them out of landfill, recover valuable resources and protect our environment.
