Council Highlights: January 2026

Here are the council meeting highlights from January 2026:

• Council held their budget meeting on January 12th and the Mayor’s budget resulted in a 2.75% levy increase for 2026 - learn more about the 2026 Municipal Budget
• Ten (10) Small Project Vibrancy applications were approved totalling $ 66,738.60 in funding
• Forty seven (47) Community Grant requests were approved totalling $ 67,110.00 cash and $ 56,923.36 in-kind commitment
• A public meeting was held for a ZBA for 8529 Townsend Line to rezone a severed lot to residential; the application was approved
• The interim tax levy was approved for 2026

The next regular council meeting is on February 3 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chamber at the Administration Building – 9577 Port Franks Road.
